At Tui's Nest, children have the freedom to choose. They are empowered to make their own decisions. It is a place that - at times - lets them think things through. This means more opportunities to extend their learning, social skills and language.All children aged 3 months and 5 years are welcome. The centre itself is licensed for 41 children (a maximum of 20 infants and the rest children aged 2-years+).Another thing is we are a mixed-age centre. We don't segregated into different age groups so there's more of a family-orientated atmosphere. We aim and strive to become an extension of your family as the children spend so much time here.Our teaching staff come from a diverse range of cultures - Tongan, Maori, South African, Kiiwi's and Chinese.We are also very well-resourced, with cupboards chock full of stuff that children love. Puzzles, books, toys, art+crafts, bikes, little cars...Plus, the little ones delight in our covered and very popular all-weather sandpit for All-Year Outdoor Play!Finally, we hold events to celebrate Mothers Day, Father's Day, and Xmas. These bring families together to meet, mingle and socialise. Parents usually rush around dropping and picking up, but at these events you can slow down, and build relationships with the staff and other parents. Dads can meet other Dads, and Mums to meet other Mums.Open Mon-Fri from 7.30am to 6pm.Our open-door policy means you can pop-in whenever - no appointments are necessary.Thanks for reading and we look forward to seeing you!
