Gegründet wurde die Praxis Osteomedico bereits im Jahre 2001 von den Osteopathen und Physiotherapeuten Michael Rohmann und Carsten Fischer. Beide hatten bis zum damaligen Zeitpunkt leitende Tätigkeiten in großen Rehabilitationszentren. Ihr Wunsch wuchs, sich mit allen Erfahrungen und Ideen selbstständig zu machen.Dabei sollten Patienten nur noch von ein bis zwei Therapeuten betreut werden, um eine optimale, auf den Patienten abgestimmte Therapie, zu gewährleisten. Die Behandlungsräume, im Gegensatz zu den meisten Rehabilitationszentren, bestehen aus geschlossenen, gemütlichen Räumen.
Osteomedico stellte seit dem Jahre 2001, als erste hannoversche Praxis, ein physiotherapeutisches Konzept mit osteopathischen Schwerpunkt dar. Auf Grund der osteopathischen Spezialisierung wurden im Laufe der Jahre immer höhere Ansprüche von Ärzten und Patienten an die Therapeuten gestellt. Dies führte unweigerlich zu einer Zunahme von osteopathischen und Abnahme von physiotherapeutischen Behandlungen. Daher musste schon wenigen Wochen nach Praxiseröffnung das Team erweitert und bis zum heutigen Tag auf drei männliche und zwei weibliche Therapeuten aufgestockt werden. Im Laufe der Jahre schenkten uns mehr als 1530 verschiedene Ärzte ihr Vertrauen und überwiesen uns, bis Ende 2012, über 6025 Patienten.
Auch entstand, durch die Zusammenarbeit mit anderen therapeutisch tätigen Berufsgruppen (Ärzten verschiedenster Fachrichtungen, Heilpraktikern, Physiotherapeuten, Kinesiologen), ein fachlich hoch qualifiziertes Netzwerk. Dies ist für uns maßgeblich geworden, um einen für den Patienten optimalen Behandlungserfolg zu gewährleisten.
