Directed cashiers engaged in reconciling cash receipts, returns/exchange, closing procedures, and in performing services for customers. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Monitored sales activities to ensure that customers receive satisfactory service and quality goods. 2. Created a positive atmosphere by smiling, greeting and providing a pleasant, friendly experience. 3. Provided customer service by greeting and assisting customers, and responding to customer inquiries and complaints. 4. Established or identified prices of goods, and tabulated bills using cash registers or optical price scanners. 5. Received payment by cash, credit cards, or debits, and issued receipts, refunds, credits, or change due to customers. 6. Maintained clean and orderly checkout areas and completed other general cleaning duties, such as mopping floors and emptying trash cans. 7. Maintained and improved store security and safety concerns 8. Maintained knowledge of current promotions, policies and security practices regarding payment and exchanges 9. Investigated and resolved customer inquiries and complaints in a timely and empathetic manner 10. Provided elevated customer experience to generate loyal clientele 11. Trained new employees by providing knowledge of specific store tasks, policies, and goals 12.
