The Only Bank in Maine Since 1827 In February of 1827, 48 prominent citizens of Saco appealed to the State Legislature for the Saco & Biddeford Savings Institution charter. Announcing our opening on May 23rd of that same year, we received our first deposit of $3 one week later. About Mutuality We've come a long way since that first deposit.
