Equitas, based in Christchurch, provides supportive homes and respite care for young people who have suffered a brain injury where rehabilitation, independence and personal goal setting to meet social, emotional, spiritual and physical needs, provides the basis for all service delivery. Where residents cannot progress to independent living, Equitas provides a home for life - a home for young people with other people of a similar age within the community, encouraging each individual to reach their potential and maximum independence in all areas of their lives, ensuring a productive, valued and unique lifestyle, and nurturing the respect for the choices of the individual. Family/whanau and friends are welcomed as wholeheartedly as we care for our residents.
