Greatbatch is named after the legendary architect of the turn of the previous century, Daniel Westwood Greatbatch; this house was designed by him as his residence. DW Greatbatch was responsible for the design of several outstanding buildings such as the Sanatorium, Theatre Royal, 3rd building Kimberley Club, Dunluce, Synagogue etc. The four rooms inside the house are, as is the house itself, named after some great architects. Each room is fitted with a kettle and coffee and tea is available and has an air-conditioner fitted. The Rogers room is a luxury en-suite that overlooks the pool and lapa area and is fitted with a Queen Size bed and it has a bar fridge and colour DSTV installed. The Stent room is a luxury en-suite and overlooks the pool and lapa area. It is fitted with an old Kimberley time brass and copper bed and has a colour DSTV installed.
