I sorted out my TV aerial problems! I live in Fish Hoek, Cape Town. I am in direct line of sight of the Constantiaberg TV tower. I have a “combi” aerial which is inside my roof of corrugated asbestos. I do not subscribe for any pay TV and so only watch SABC 1, 2, 3 and e-tv. I understand that 1 & e are VHF and 1 & 2 are UHF My reception of 3 and e have been fine but that of 1 & 2 have been ghostly and ghastly with double and triple and more images. In desperation I got up into the ceiling to see if I could adjust the aerial. My wife commented that when I was working on the aerial the image improved. I couldn’t stay in the ceiling for ever so I riged up a large sheet of aluminium foil and hung it behind the aerial. Hey Presto perfect pictures on all channels.
