Benjamin M. Schneider, MD is a board-certified Diagnostic Radiologist in Summit Health’s  Radiology Department. Dr. Schneider has expertise in breast imaging and intervention which includes mammography, breast ultrasound and breast MRI. Dr. Schneider performs image-guided biopsies to help in the diagnosis of breast cancer and to plan for breast surgery. In addition, Dr. Schneider has expertise in general ultrasound, computed tomography (CT), and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).  “Every individual brings a different background and experience to the table during difficult situations and diagnoses. He adds,  “Recognizing this and being able to empathize is key.”

Dr. Schneider’s research experience includes MRI imaging to detect recurrent breast cancer in patients who have undergone breast reconstruction after mastectomy. In addition to his research in magnetic resonance imagining, he has been involved in several publications and presentations regarding breast imaging and diagnoses. Dr. Schneider is a member of the Radiology Society of North America, Society of Breast Imaging, American College of Radiology, Radiology Society of New Jersey, and the Medical Society of New Jersey.

When he’s not working with patients, Dr. Schneider enjoys spending time with his family, running, hiking and traveling.
