Originally from Los Angeles, California Dr. Braxton received an undergraduate degree in Zoology and a Doctor of Medicine from Howard University in Washington D.C. He completed a general surgery internship with Howard University Hospital and a general surgery residency at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. He then served active duty in the United States Army before spending two years as a Reserve Army Officer Major. Dr. Braxton went on to earn a Business of Medicine MBA from the University of Tennessee.
