After having witnessed Acupuncture save her mother's life, Alison Downey began studying Chinese Medicine at age 17 as an intern with Dr. Jim Gordon, Chairman of NIH Dep't of Complementary and Alternative Medicine in Washington D.C.
Meet the Business Owner
Alison Downey holds a four year graduate degree from Daoist Traditions College of Chinese Medical Arts, in Asheville NC, where she studied in the Classical lineage of Jeffrey Yuen, an 88th generation Daoist priest. Alison has devoted herself to a lifelong mission to uncover the psychological and spiritual roots of illness, and has also earned a Master's degree in Spiritual Healing and Counseling. Alison is a student of Qi Gong, self-healing techniques for health, longevity, and spiritual awakening, which she incorporates into her treatments. In addition to in-person acupuncture and healing sessions, Alison serves long-distance clients worldwide as a spiritual healer and life coach.
