Everyone goes through challenging situations in life, and while you may have successfully navigated through other difficulties you have faced, there is nothing wrong with seeking out extra support. I believe that all people have an innate wisdom and knowledge to make good choices for their lives. Sometimes we just need a little additional support, insight, tools and a fresh perspective. Therapy is for people who have enough self-awareness to realize they need a helping hand, and that is something to be admired and supported. Together we can gain positive insights to navigate the obstacles that keep you from living your best life.
My counseling approach is eclectic using a foundation of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person Centered Psychotherapy (PCT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR). I am trained through the Gottman Institute for couples counseling.
