Cumberland County Playhouse is a regional professional theater blending professional live theater, musical theater, and community performances into unforgettable experiences. As a leading performing arts venue, it presents live stage performances, plays, musicals, cabaret, concert series events, and family-friendly shows year-round.
With a resident professional company, full-time staff, and over 100 visiting artists, the Playhouse brings together national talent and a strong Tennessee volunteer base. Originally led by the Crabtree family since 1965, it continues today under Producing Director/CEO Bryce McDonald, Artistic Director Britt Hancock, and Education Director Weslie Webster.
Beyond the stage, the Playhouse offers youth theater programs, acting classes, dance, and voice training for all ages.
Offering season memberships and theater tickets, Cumberland County Playhouse is where theater inspires, connects, and transforms.
