Pastor Bill Motley, along with his wife Sharon, founded Abundant Life World Outreach Church in Danville, VA, in 1990.
The church began in the living room of their home with five members. After one month, they moved into a 2000 sq. ft. building. Within two years, their 75 members had outgrown the building and moved into a 10,700 sq. ft. building on Mt. Cross Road where the church is currently located. In 1998, Abundant Life Childcare Center and Abundant Life Christian Academy were both opened. The following year, a 4500 sq. ft. educational wing was added with a 100 child capacity. In 2003, construction of a 14,500 sq. ft. Family Life Center began. The Family Life Center was complete and opened November 2007. Today, Abundant Life World Outreach Church has a membership of over 600.
