Having studied psychology as a double major at Rutgers University, Nidhi Sondhi was drawn to pain management during her Anesthesiology residency where she began to understand the debilitating impact chronic pain has on one’s life, both physically and mentally. “Chronic pain has significant effects on one’s entire life. My ultimate goal is to help chronic pain patients regain a sense of normalcy in their lives” she said. Graduating from the New Jersey-based higher educational institution with a bachelor’s degree in genetics and psychology, Dr. Sondhi would go on to earn her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) School of Osteopathic Medicine, where she was recognized for academic excellence having graduated at the top of her class. Dr. Sondhi completed her residency and interventional chronic pain fellowship at Case Western, University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center in Ohio.
