The Jukuri-Antila Funeral Home in Hancock was established in 1964, as the Jukuri Funeral Home, owned and operated by Gerald D. Jukuri. In June of 1990, the Jukuri Funeral Home was acquired by Ron Antila under the name of Jukuri-Antila Funeral Home, along with the Mountain View Mortuary of South Range, which was established by Mr. Jukuri in 1974. Ron is a native of Atlantic Mine, Michigan, graduating from the Jeffers High School in Painesdale. He attended Suomi College in Hancock, and graduated from the Worsham College of Mortuary Science in Chicago in 1973, and has served on committees for the Michigan Funeral Directors Association. Ron is involved in community service and currently is serving on the Hancock Housing Commission, and is a member of the South Range Lions Club and the Adams Township School District Foundation Board.
