Penn State Hazleton, located near the intersection of Interstates 80 and 81 in northeastern Pennsylvania, is an undergraduate campus of Penn State University. Penn State Hazleton offers an affordable, accessible, world-class education in a scenic small-campus setting. Through its student-centered approaches, academic excellence, research, service to the community and campus diversity, Penn State Hazleton advances knowledge, creativity and opportunity. Students attending Penn State Hazleton are from across Pennsylvania, 20 states and 10 countries. Students can begin any of Penn State's more than 275 majors and transition to another campus to complete their degree or stay at Penn State Hazleton and complete one of ten baccalaureate degrees or one of five associate degrees. Baccalaureate degree programs: Administration of Justice, Business, Corporate Communication, Engineering focused on alternative energy and power generation, Information Sciences and Technology; Letters, Arts, and Sciences; Project and Supply Chain Management, Psychology and Rehabilitation and Human Services. Associate degrees: Business Administration, Information Sciences & Technology; Letters, Arts, and Sciences; Medical Laboratory Technology and Physical Therapist Assistant. Penn State Hazleton is comprised of 125 acres on a former residential estate with historic structures standing side-by-side with new and modern academic buildings, library, physical education building, bookstore, picnic pavilion and scenic overlooks. Three on-campus residence halls house 450 students, and long with a dining hall, are located near the entrance of the campus. Students have to enhance academic pursuits and personal growth. Students can work side-by-side with a faculty expert or participate in campus and university scholars programs. Students can gain valuable leadership skills by joining a club or organizations (more than 20 options are available) or by playing a varsity or intramural sport.
