Founded in 2005, the Chopin Academy of Music began with a vision that every child, even a beginner, deserves the highest quality professional training in instrumental performance. Designed by internationally educated performers and teachers, Dr. Kaminska and Dr. Bowlby, the CAM has put Issaquah on the map of the greatest pre-college music schools in the nation.
WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT?
Dozens of events each year — intimate studio groups, free performance classes, numerous recitals, internal school exams, outside festivals, and honors concerts in prestigious venues, including Carnegie Hall in NYC, Benaroya Hall, the Meydenbauer Center, Frye Art Museum, and Seattle Art Museum, among others. With so many opportunities each year, aspiring performers at the CAM are confident and masterful, and deservedly so!
Each year, the CAM invites internationally-renowned guest artists for master classes.
With over two hundred students, the majority of the CAM’s pupils play for personal fun and pleasure, and also perform confidently, technically refined and healthy, and with artistry, regardless of personal ambitions.
The CAM has guided hundreds of students to success. CAM students perpetually receive acclaim, having garnered over 1,000 top prizes at local and international competitions since 2009 alone, and are always on the top list of winners. Many students have been featured on live radio, become international medalists, and have gone on to degrees at major universities and careers in music.
Open enrollment for students of all levels of ambition and all ages.
