Dr. George Fuhrman serves as the Interim Chair of the Ochsner Department of Surgery. He has also served as a Program Director for the past 26 years. Dr. Fuhrman’s current practice focuses on acute care surgery with an interest in the management of surgical complications, such as bile duct injuries, enterocutaneous fistula and necrotizing pancreatitis. He is also actively engaged in the performance of complex surgical oncology and breast surgery.
