Dr Leinwand chose to be a pediatric surgeon because it combines his love for children with the art of fixing things. He finds personal satisfaction in diagnosing a problem and then solving that problem with an operation. When he comes to the hospital each day, he feels excitement in knowing that his skills will improve the life of a child. Dr Leinwand is especially interested in minimally invasive surgery, which leaves little or no scarring whenever possible. Growing up, Dr Leinwand’s parents and teachers helped guide him to where he is today. He was taught to do his best in every endeavor, aim high and think big.
