Dr. Lionel Ramirez Rivera is a dedicated general medicine provider with more than nine years of experience providing compassionate care. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Industrial Microbiology from Universidad de Puerto Rico before attending medical school at Universidad Iberoamericana in the Dominican Republic. He also completed a rotary internship in Manati, Puerto Rico. Inspired by the complexity of the human body, the connections he builds with patients, and a strong desire to help others, Dr. Ramirez Rivera pursued a career in medicine. He finds the greatest joy in helping patients improve their health and feel better each day. He believes prevention is one of the most important aspects of healthcare and that informed patients often achieve the best possible outcomes. Dr. Ramirez Rivera takes a thoughtful and patient-centered approach to care, focusing on treating multiple conditions while using the minimum amount of medications whenever possible. He values listening attentively to his patients, addressing their biggest concerns first, and involving them in the decision-making process every step of the way. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family and making memories with his two daughters. He also enjoys visiting local parks, hiking, and learning about emerging innovations and new technologies.
