Joanna Tan, MD, is board certified in internal medicine. Dr. Tan earned her medical degree from the University of Calgary, Faculty of Medicine in Canada. She completed her internship at the Cleveland Clinic and her residency at St. Mary Medical Center in Long Beach. Dr. Tan became a physician because she enjoys helping people. Her patients describe her as compassionate and friendly, and say that she has a great sense of humor. Dr. Tan believes strongly in patient education and empowers her patie being chosen as the Chief Resident at St. Mary Medical Center in Long Beach, during her residency. In her spare time, she enjoys performance arts, learning about different cultures, and spending time with her family. In addition to English, Dr. Tan is fluent in Malay.
