The Hedges Insurance Agency was founded by Trish Hedges at the insistence of her father. Back then, she simply wanted a career that would let her stay near her young family. Her father, JC Dew, insisted she had the stuff to be a better agent than the “norm”. He had been an insurance claims adjuster for most of her life and certainly dealt with his share of insurance agents. As she took most of 1999 to research the field, develop a business plan, study and acquire the necessary licensure, she officially opened for business in May 2000.
