Nationally renowned 6th generation ophthalmologist and Vitreoretinal Surgeon, Dr. Yasha Modi specializes in the management of complex medical and surgical retinal diseases and uveitis. Dr. Modi earned his medical degree from Yale School of Medicine and has completed residencies and fellowships at Memorial Sloan Kettering, the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, and the Cleveland Clinic. His career is marked by extensive retinal imaging and clinical research with over 100 peer-reviewed publications. He has served as a sub-investigator and principal investigator in a number of clinical trials. He serves on numerous editorial boards and review committees in the field of ophthalmology. As recipient of the American Society of Retina Specialists Fellow and Honor awards, Ophthalmology Management’s “40 Under 40” Award, the American Academy of Ophthalmology Honor award, and 3 institutional teacher of the year awards at NYU, he is highly committed to maintaining academic excellence and training the next generation of retinal specialists.
