Dr. Emy grew up in the Bronx. He studied History and Literature at Harvard College and received his medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. He completed residency training at Montefiore Medical Center. Following several itinerant years of locum tenens assignments, he realized that there truly is no place like home and returned to New York City, where he practices general internal medicine.
