Dr. Heather Akins received her undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University and her Master in Biology from Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas. She obtained a doctorate of osteopathic medicine from The University of North Texas Health Science Center of Osteopathic Medicine in Ft. Worth, Texas. Dr. Akins completed her residency in family practice at Baylor Family Practice Residency in Garland.
