Known as “Dr. Bob” to his patients, Yenhui (Bob) Huang, MD, is a high-energy cardiologist who loves his work.
But Dr. Bob almost did not go to medical school. He began studying to be an actuary, a business professional who uses mathematics, statistics and financial theory to analyze, manage and mitigate the financial impact of risk and uncertainty.
At the urging of this parents and family friends, he took all that brain power and changed course by going to medical school.
“At the time, my parents said, ‘You can become an actuary if you don’t like medicine.’”
It turns out Dr. Bob loved medicine and cardiology. He is fellowship trained and holds four board certifications.
