Michael graduated from Oakland University in 1972 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Management and Economics. He was a nursing home administrator for 19 years. In addition, he devoted time and studies to accounting and taxation and joined Wirtz & Company in 1991. Company founder, Raymond Wirtz died in 1995 and Patrick Wirtz, his brother joined the firm at that time. Michael and Patrick were partners until Patrick’s death in 2010 and Michael assumed full ownership.
The firm now provides accounting and tax preparation services to over 300 clients. One added valuable service is assistance for persons wishing to start a new business.
