Dr. Sydnor joined the Division of Infectious Diseases as an Assistant Professor in the fall of 2011. She cares for general infectious diseases patients on the inpatient Infectious Diseases consult service at both the University and VA Hospitals, and also sees patients at the Salt Lake City VA Infectious Diseases Clinic. She is the founder and Medical Director of the Antimicrobial Stewardship Program at the Salt Lake City VA and is similarly working to develop an antimicrobial stewardship program at the University of Utah Hospital focused on optimizing antimicrobial use to achieve the best clinical outcomes for our patients.
