DNA REFERENCE LAB offers outstanding opportunities for training, certification and preparing our employees to meet ASCLD-LAB, AABB (RT) and CAP standards. DRL in collaboration with UTHSCSA is also an orientation site for the training of residence and fellows participating in the ACGME program for transfusion medicine. Additionally, DRL fosters and encourages research, publications and presentations in national and international scientific meetings in forensic and molecular diagnostic. Furthermore, DRL is currently involved in collaborative research efforts with several in state and out of state institutions. The followings are examples for some of these efforts.
