After traveling extensively through Africa and Europe, I moved to San Francisco 18 years ago- a city that closely resembles my hometown in the wine region of South Africa: spectacular views, fantastic food and wine, creative and intelligent residents, proximity to outdoor activities, diverse neighborhoods, architecture and entrepreneurs. I am incredibly lucky to call San Francisco home: the sights and sounds of the city on my quiet morning runs with my rescue Ridgeback, my commitments to raising a child and being a part of Saint Ignatius College Preparatory school community, and time spent volunteering in the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Moms-in-Training program — I am humbled by all that the City has given to me and my family, and I’m inspired to give back.
