"Aimee has worked closely with families for over fourteen years cultivating nurturing environments for children to grow and flourish. Her work narrowed in 2017 to focus on the early days of parenting when she became a Postpartum Doula. Aimee believes that when families are supported, resourced, and connected during the first weeks after bringing a baby home it can change the trajectory of their parenting journey, improve family relationships, and strengthen community. She is grateful to work in this short window of time as families get to know their little one and find their footing. As an Advanced Postpartum Doula with Swedish, Aimee has additional training as a newborn care specialist, lactation educator, and in postpartum mood and anxiety disorders. She is passionate about learning and supporting families with the most up to date information. Aimee is also passionate about community. She helps families find theirs, learn to lean into it, and break the idea that we are meant to parent in isolation. We aren’t. When not supporting families, you can find Aimee connecting with other birth professionals, riding her bicycle around the city with her husband, or working on her fixer-upper house."
