At the University of Illinois at Chicago, he completed both an internship and residency in general surgery and was also Research Fellow in Surgery and Chief Resident in General Surgery during his time there. As a cardiothoracic surgeon, Dr. Khabbaz is skilled at performing adult cardiac and adult thoracic surgeries, as well as particular vascular procedures.
