Dr. Leonard Copertino is a board-certified general surgeon with Roane Surgical Group in Harriman, TN. Born and raised in Connecticut, Dr. Copertino has spent most of his life in the Northeast, except for his first two years of medical school. He completed his undergraduate studies in Vermont, attended medical school in Grenada and New Jersey, and did his residency in Connecticut and Long Island, New York.

Dr. Copertino specializes in general surgery, primarily performing hernia repairs, gallbladder surgeries, appendectomies, and colectomies, but he is versatile and able to expand his scope as needed. He will also be adding endoscopy to his practice in Tennessee.
