Taking care of people was always something that was important to me, and I wanted to use my gifts in the best way to be able to do that. Medical school, residency training, practicing as a physician has really been incredibly rewarding in that way. I love women's health and advocacy, so OB/GYN was a very natural choice for me. It lets me spend time both in the clinic talking to patients as well as in the operating room doing procedures. I get to follow a woman for her entire lifespan and address all of the health problems that she could potentially have in that time. So, the longevity of that relationship is beautiful.
