Dutchess Gutter Helmet was founded by Barnes Construction in 2001. Since 1976, Barnes Construction has specialized in gutter guards, seamless gutters and exterior remodeling. We were looking to provide our customers with the best products for their home so we expanded our operation and we were given the exclusive franchise rights for Gutter Helmet in the Hudson Valley Region.
Joe Cauda, the son-in-law of Bud Barnes, who managed the Gutter Helmet division of Barnes Construction since its beginning, took over sole proprietorship in 2012.
