I am a professional violinist and teacher and have been teaching from my home studio in central Hamilton for over 35 years. I follow the Suzuki 'Talent Education' method which is particularly suited to introducing very young children to the violin. (A Google search or conversation with me can explain about this approach to learning in greater detail.) Another option is to follow the Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) syllabus for which I'm qualified to teach all levels and, if desired, to prepare students for RCM exams through all grades. As they develop and advance, many students choose to move from the Suzuki method into the RCM books which is a natural progression towards higher levels of playing.
