There are two Mirror Lakes, that I'm aware of in Muskoka ?there's probably more though. This one is near the top end of Lake Joseph, the most northerly lake of the "Big Three" in Muskoka. You can hike in easily, and it's truly spectacular, particularly in the fall.
Iconic look to this pretty landfall on Lake Rosseau, offering privacy and views -the two most important land attributes when thinking pragmatically and romantically on the investment aspect of a land purchase on the "Big Three".

There are many benefits to having a ultra luxe cottage, but for me; it's all about the landfall, and the lake! Case in point, a lazy summer afternoon on Lake Joe. (and yes, the cottage is amazing too!)

Lake Muskoka is the biggest lake in the District. It is also a part of the world famous "Big Three" the most coveted lake system in the country.
It is fed by the entire Algonquin Park and Amalguin Heights water shed, as well as probably containing as many underwater springs as the upper lakes (Rosseau and Joseph) which, combined together, Lake Muskoka is approximately equal to in water volume.
This is my lake. Well, actually not; but it's where my family started cottaging, and where my ancestors first homesteaded. Tobin Island is there in the background, and that island is my truest connection to Muskoka, seven generations ago, my nieces and nephews are the 8th generation for our family in Muskoka!
"Big Three" cottaging provides well over 100 miles of boating pleasure, amidst beautiful islands that dot the most coveted inland lake system in all of North America. Lake Muskoka, Lake Rosseau and Lake Joseph are all unique and each has phemonenal locations to either purchase or build your legacy cottage family compound. I can provide expert help with that search, which ever Big Three lake you choose to build on.
