Mr. Penny has been a criminal defence lawyer for over 34 years and has practised across Canada. He has defended virtually every criminal charge that exists and has defended these charges at all levels of court including Traffic Court, Provincial Court, Court of Queen's Bench, Court of Appeal and Supreme Court. He has conducted dozens of jury trials. He also defends quasi-criminal charges such as municipal charges, traffic offences and Provincial Statute offences.
