For the painting of this detailed wall installation in the Spa area of the Toronto Hilton, we used a Graco 390 airless sprayer with a 312 tip size.
We designed and spray painted this cash desk in a Valspar waterborne lacquer CC20.
We also cast the white concrete counter on top. Still a few touches to make it just right. The store owner is quite pleased.
It was fun to design, build and spray paint this piece in Valspar Waterborne Lacquer.
We cast the counter top in a white Concrete (Surecrete) Happy customer!
This recent job called for design and build work for these two center clothing displays. Made from solid wood and plumbers pipe, and then sprayed in a Sherwin Williams white epoxy paint. The customer loved the idea and result, and now has added more projects around the store.

We prepared this kitchen on Brooke St for a spray paint job. The customer chose a Benjamin Moore CC40 Cloud White.
From start to finish a typical kitchen spray job can be done in 4 days. Your kitchen can remain functional throughout the entire process. Many homeowners comment on how little the paint smells and how fast the job progresses.
When preparing a kitchen for a new paint spray finish, it is good time to consider any small changes like the decorative detail piece we removed from above stove. We simply sanded and filled the damaged area and skim coated again for a flat and level surface.

Behind the headboard in the executive suite we applied the crimson blue vinyl giving a dramatic accent to the white rooms. Darker colored papers and vinyls are not "forgiving" and therefore require precise techniques.
We removed the old stair runner and all the nails and staples that were left behind. We then filled the holes and divots with an quality wood filler. When dry we then sanded smooth the risers and treads and coated with an oil primer. After more sanding with a fine paper the stairs were ready for the paint treatment..
The stairs were painted with a high quality floor enamel from Benjamin Moore. the risers and pickets were painted with a waterborne alkyd hybrid paint from Dulux. The handrail was given a polyurethane clear satin for protection from oils of handling. The customer was delighted with the finished product.
painting an empty room is obviously much easier than painting a room full of furniture, artwork, and other belongings that need to be carefully moved out of the room. Our customers will enjoy a discounted price when it comes to empty or near empty rooms/homes.
Designer is testing two rooms in a cream white Vinyl/fabric paper and CC 20 Benjamin Moore ceilings and trims. Wonder how long it will stay clean? Hmmm...
The old wall vinyl is stripped down and the walls are filled and pole sanded.
The handles and hardware are removed before a scuff sand and coat of ADVANCE by Bejamin Moore
On this commercial paint job we worked along side other trades to give an "update" to the look of the building. In this case we used an exterior skyjack to hit the high spots with the Benjamin Moore deep brown to go with teak wood "fence" treatment that is currently underway..
If you think you're not allowed to paint over tiles, think again. For the back entrance update to the Hilton Hotel we coated the tiles first with STIX primer by INSL-X. We made sure the tile surface was completely clean of dirt and grime before applying the prime coat. Often exterior surfaces need to be pressure washed before any coats of paint can be applied.
Its always nice when a customer appreciates a fine spray painted finish on doors and trims. For this job on Woodycrest we were afforded the time to do the necessary preparation in order to arrive a the finish we expected. The customer was very pleased with his laquered doors in a charcoal gray. Black knobs and hardware finished the look nicely.
Spray painted with deep gray laquer from a horizontal position, the doors are ready to be hung.
These exterior tongue and groove siding boards were coated with Sikkens Cetol 1 stain and finish in one. Some of the boards were rubbed with a umber wiping stain from Goudey to accent some of the wood cedar and give an over all varied but richly toned, uniform look for the front of the house.
Combining different tones of stain but staying within a "family" of colors , was the objective in the over-all composition for the cedar siding. More pictures to come of the final product :)
Here is a look at the front of the house as the stained tongue and groove cedar is fastened around the doorway.
There are too many products to choose from when it comes to finishing wood substrates. Many of these products are not worth the money and don't hold up over time. Tried and true methods are the best way to go. I've put together an old school oil rub mixture that works its way into the wood while highlighting the fine details and leaving a beautiful, rich finish.
