Most TMLs are performed lying on mats on the floor. This allows the brain to focus on what you are doing without having to deal with gravity.
This standing TML is about balance. Balance can prevent falls and improve overall mobility.
Some lessons are performed on the knees. In ALL TML's students only do what they can do COMFORTABLY! What they can't do physically they can do in their imagination and still gain from the process.
Floor TMLs can be performed lying on your side, your back or your belly and some lessons will include all. There are hundreds of different lessons. Unlike some fitness classes students are not exposed to the same moves over and over. The aim of these lessons is to break out of habitual patterns so the mind can discover different / better ways to move the body.
TMLs introduce many non-habitual variations. Each person's experience is their own and each will notice different results.
