We arrived to guayaquil in the middle of the night. stayed in a hotel then started calling rental car companies. The only one we found that had an automatic car that day to rent was Virgen Rent a Car. my boyfriend and I do not know ecuador well so we asked for a GPS for the car because we were driving long distance. 2 days into our trip, the car (suzuki vitara) broke down at 11am and left us stranded. We we finally pushed the car to a gas station in that heat, we called the owner of the company to let him know happened to the car. He told us to look for a mechanic somehow and call him back with what they said. I was ridiculous he wanted us to get someone to check the car for us but we did and it was the motor that was messed up. We called back and updated him and he said he will send the tow over to bring it back to guayaquil.
