This includes Ayurveda, delivered by doctors and therapists from Kerala, (Kerala is known as a home of unbroken tradition of Ayurveda.). This 5,000-year-old Indian “science of life” focuses on healing imbalances in the body’s doshas.
According to Ayurveda, we are born with our unique ratio of three doshas or energy types, which include vata, pitta and kapha. These energies are made up of the elements, Fire/water/ether/air/earth. Ayurvedic practitioners believe that each person has some vata, pitta and kapha in them, but that one or two will be dominant. Stress, lack of sleep, unhealthy diet or emotional imbalances disturb our energy equilibrium and can show up as a di-sease within the body and mind. Ayurvedic practitioners aim to bring the doshas back into balance. Each guests dosha imbalance will influence the personalization of their retreat program. Tibetan Medicine, or Sowa Rigpa, is delivered by Tibetan therapists and doctors from the north of India. Six Senses Vana is one of the few places in the world
