Adjacent to the new production plant in Pune is Knorr-Bremse Technology Center India (TCI), built in about 3.000 square meters. Here, the Knorr-Bremse Rail Vehicle Systems and Commercial Vehicle Systems divisions have concentrated their engineering and development services in response to the rapidly increasing importance of the Asia-Pacific region for both divisions and to enable the ongoing development of the portfolio in line with specific customer requirements. In addition to supporting Knorr-Bremse Rail and Commercial Vehicle systems, TCI also has expanded its support to several other subsidiaries of Knorr Bremse Group like NYAB, Bendix, IFE, Selectron, PowerTech, Microelettrica, Sydac, H&W, Merak and most recently KB Services. The core activity is Software Development, with substantial contribution also towards Electronic Hardware, Mechanical design/Simulation and IT/SAP services for the Knorr-Bremse Group worldwide. The Knorr-Bremse TCI was founded in 2012.
