Come walk in the footsteps of J.M.Synge, P.Pearse, B.Merriman and modern writers as we visit the locations were they found their inspiration.It is a poetry tour through the most beautiful places of the Connemara and the Burren , which inspired many writers and perhaps will inspire new writers to follow them in their artistic quest . It will be enjoyable for language discussions , sheer sensory experience of the enjoyable suroundings and the reasons these works were composed here.
I offer personal guided tour of key places of inspiration to the poets in Galway and the Burren. We will talk about their poetry in the very locations that inspired them .I hope that these places may inspire you too. I am a teacher of English Literature for over 30 years both in Ireland and abroad. As a native of Galway I live in Kinvara and now devote my time to writing poetry.
The tours are designed for 2 to 3. The price structure is as follows: €80 for one person , €70 pp for two people & €60pp for 3 people on tour. * I am your host & companion and will entertain you with valuable information about the poets' careers, their successes,and international standing.
The price includes having me as your personal guide throughout the day, travel by car & parking ( Fee reduction will be made for those wishing to use their own cars). Fees do not include boat travel & fees into establishments where applicable.
* Due to the small group approach you also get flexibility of starting times & meeting places.
