About Mr. Sooty Chimney Sweep
My name is John Doherty and I have been a qualified professional firefighter since 2003. Throughout my career I have built extensive knowledge of building regulations and fire safety. During this time I have been to numerous house and chimney fires due to poorly serviced chimney flues and stoves. These fires were all preventable if the chimney and stoves involved were cleaned and serviced correctly and regularly. This has led me to set up Mr. Sooty Chimney Sweep.
