Il Bar Gelateria Trieste nasce nel 1970 quando, mio nonno Oreste e mio zio Domenico, decidono di aprire l’attività solo per il periodo estivo. Il Bar Trieste avrà impulso quando mio padre, Aniello, a 18 anni, assunse la responsabilità di gestione dell’attività che sarà punto di riferimento di intere generazioni di ragazzi, che hanno vissuto gli anni del jubox, del ping pong, della carambola, del calcio balilla, delle feste, dei balli, dei lenti, di storie di conoscenze e di amore. Sono stati anche gli anni dello sviluppo turistico di Marina di Camerota al quale mio padre ha offerto l’ospitalità degna dei nostri luoghi, la genuinità dei gelati e della mitica granita di limone, oltre che il caffè del tiepido sole mattutino della nostra Marina.
