La Farmacia Olivato si trova nel centro storico della Città di Cologna Veneta a pochi metri dal Duomo, nucleo urbano che vanta rilevanti testimonianze storiche che vanno dalle origini romane 49-45 A.C. ad un medioevo molto movimentato che portò Cologna ad essere dominata dagli Estensi, dagli Scaligeri, dai Visconti di Milano e dai Carraresi di Padova. Successivamente nel 1405, La Serenissima Repubblica di Venezia incorporò Cologna ed il suo territorio aggregandoli al 'Dogado' ed associandoli al Sestier di Dorsoduro, dichiarando "veneziani" i suoi abitanti. Sotto Venezia Cologna godette una meritata pace e divenne fiorente centro agricolo. Per un lungo periodo Cologna ebbe molta importanza nella produzione della canapa, per la lavorazione delle gomene per l'arsenale di Venezia; nel secolo scorso fu la bachisericoltura e, oggi, per la sua ottima posizione geografica è ancora un fortunato centro agricolo per la produzione di cereali e ortaggi. È altresì rivolta anche al settore industriale alimentare, tessile, calzaturiero, chimico e cartari. La Farmacia situata in un edificio risalente alla fine del 1400, già Farmacia Comunale dal 1800 fino al secolo scorso, diventa quindi nel 1943 Ex Comunale Consorziale e nel 1970 viene quindi rilevata dal Dott.
