Illumniscate is a sole proprietorship company that began as an idea to bring about a more conscious and assertively playful world. Inspired by games, social sciences and creative writing, I am set out to combine fun with learning.
Besides having a strong background as a psychologist, I have over 5 years of experience as a youth trainer and adult trainer. In the past couple of years, I have worked for the Anne Frank House, where I delivered trainings to youngsters and seniors alike and co-developed tools for blended learning.
I also had the pleasure to be a trainer in Olde Vechte Foundation’s emotionally heavy personal trainings. In both of these organisations, I have co-developed several training plans. As a psychologist, I always scientifically back the used methods and content. Through Illumniscate, I help groups of people improve their intra- and interpersonal skills by providing trainings and/or training tools.
I also work in Backspace Escape Rooms, where I design puzzles and build rooms. I have been designing board games for a couple of years. Both tabletop games and escape rooms are one of my many passions. In the long run, Illumniscate will also publish board games and create portable, educational escape room projects.
Another cherished skill I keep developing is writing, with a focus on narration. Besides a couple of published writings, I have enriched the content of many organisations I work(ed) for and translated several projects.
By combining these three elements – education, games and storytelling – I aim to create unique blends of content, activities and products.
