In restaurant De Grote Wielen bent u van harte welkom voor een kopje thee of koffie, een lunch of een menu à la carte. We bieden volop keuze in vlees-, vis- en vegetarische gerechten en wisselen onze menukaart naar gelang de seizoenen. Op onze wijnkaart prijken karaktervolle en fleurige wijnen afgestemd op het gerecht en passend bij de gelegenheid.Ons gebak is afkomstig van een meesterbakker die royale gebakspunten levert. De jongste gasten mogen hun tanden zetten in het Ernie- of Bertmenu. Voor een ieder die dat wil zijn er speciale menu's. Alles is geprijsd op een niveau dat recht doet aan onze dienstverlening.

Restaurant De Grote Wielen ligt direct aan het gelijknamige meer. Het grote terras van het restaurant biedt een panoramisch uitzicht over de plassen. Het is vooral ’s zomers een schouwspel van dobberende recreanten, snelle surfers en turende vissers.
Ook u kunt deelnemer worden van dit schouwspel. Restaurant De Grote Wielen heeft een rondvaartboot, visboten en kano’s in de verhuur. Hiermee kan op de plassen worden gevaren (een omsloten gebied) of uitstapjes worden gemaakt naar de Bonkevaart en de Murk, vaarten die deel uitmaken van de roemruchte Elfstedenroute. Voor het afhuren van de rondvaartboot geldt een speciaal arrangement. De visboten en de kano’s kunnen per tijdseenheid worden gehuurd.

Restaurant De Grote Wielen kan aan veel verzoeken voldoen. Of het nu gaat om speciale wensen à la carte, het samenstellen van een geheel dagprogramma, het organiseren van een culinair hoogstandje, een buffet of een proeverij; het restaurantteam neemt aandachtig alle wensen met u door.

Een chalet huren aan de rand van de Grote Wielen behoort ook tot de mogelijkheden bij restaurant De Grote Wielen. U huurt een spiksplinternieuw chalet direct aan de oever van het meer. Een prachtige plek als uitvalsbasis om de omgeving te verkennen of om een dag te vergaderen.
