Een medisch pedicure is een gespecialiseerde pedicure die alle vormen van complexe voetproblematieken van cliënten kan behandelen.Dat houdt in dat ik als Medisch Pedicure in staat ben om een potentiële risicovoet te herkennen en te behandelen. De zogenaamde risicovoeten kunnen onder andere ontstaan zijn ten gevolge van reuma, diabetes, spasticiteit, ouderdom en verwaarlozing. De medisch pedicure is speciaal opgeleid voor de behandeling van deze doelgroepen. Daarnaast heeft hij/zij uitgebreide kennis en ervaring op het gebied van orthesiologie, nagelregulatie en –reparatie en anti-druk technieken. Dat zijn specialistische technieken die pijnklachten kunnen voorkomen.
De medisch pedicure beheerst dus alle specialisaties op het gebied van voeten.
Ze werkt samen met andere disciplines, zoals praktijkondersteuners, huisartsen, podotherapeuten en diabetes verpleegkundigen.
Zo kunnen we gezamenlijk onze cliënten de beste zorg bieden als het om de voeten gaat.
De medisch pedicure werkt volgens vastgestelde Richtlijnen en weet wanneer de cliënt moet worden doorgestuurd naar arts of specialist in het ziekenhuis.
